Hello! My name is Rebecca Jones, and I'm excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year at Ascent! I graduated from BYU with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I live in Lehi with my husband, our three boys, and our two dogs. 

Originally from Utah, my family and I temporarily relocated to Arizona while my husband completed his PhD at ASU. We loved exploring the desert landscape, and I've since acquired quite a collection of cactus-themed items. While we enjoyed our time in Arizona, we're thrilled to be back in Utah and to have the opportunity to join the wonderful community at Ascent Academy.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family. We love hiking, camping, and visiting our relatives in other states, including Washington and Arizona. Disneyland and the beach are two of our favorite vacation spots, and I'm a huge Disney and Harry Potter fan. In my free time, I also enjoy creative activities like sewing, quilting, and playing the piano, as well as reading and watching TV and movies.

I'm looking forward to meeting and working with all the second grade students! We will have a great year. Welcome to second grade!
