This is a very special year for me as the Lehi Campus Director.  It is our tenth year and the students that started in kindergarten are in ninth grade.  We’ve been together since they were five years old.  I’m grateful for their commitment to Ascent and for seeing it through.

Our teachers, students, and families are first class and I'm excited to continue to learn, laugh and grow with them.

I believe in collaboration; Ascent Academy is fortunate to have five other campuses wherein our network collaboration will be invaluable.  I know actively engaged parents are essential to their child's success at Ascent Academy and I encourage your participation.  I’ve learned we are as strong as you as parents are commited to support our educators to be the professionals they are and do their job. 

I have been a teacher for 21 years in three different states. Sixth grade Ancient History is one of my favorite subjects.  I raised the bar high for my students and loved seeing them reach the expectations that were set.  Sixth grade is a transitional year and I welcomed the challenge of preparing students for middle school.

I attended the University of Hawaii, where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. I enjoy playing all sports and I LOVE water-skiing and wake surfing.  Reading is a passion of mine and I can easily get “lost” in a good book. I also love eating—Sushi, Italian, and Mexican, ice-cream, chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered cinnamon bears and cinnamon bears are some of my favorite foods.  I am a people person and love to laugh.
